On the evening of June 11, 2026, the award ceremony of the 9th Red Light Award was grandly held at Hilton Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Wuhan Xinghong Optoelectronics stood out from numerous competing products and won the Innovation Award for Laser Processing Heads with its XH-ABMPR Intelligent Welding Head featuring 3D Dynamically Adjustable Ring-Core Technology. This marks the second time Xinghong Optoelectronics has claimed this authoritative industry honor, after winning the same award in 2023 with its HcoaxPrintr Coaxial Wire-Feed Laser Metal 3D Printing Processing Head.

The selection process for this year’s Red Light Award lasted several months, consisting of multiple rigorous rounds including expert review and online public voting. The XH-ABMPR 3D Dynamically Adjustable Ring-Core Intelligent Welding Head from Xinghong Optoelectronics received unanimous recognition from the judging panel for its groundbreaking technological innovations and remarkable industrialization value, securing the Innovation Award for Laser Processing Heads.
Globally launched at LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA in March 2026, the XH-ABMPR 3D Dynamically Adjustable Ring-Core Intelligent Welding Head is a landmark product developed by Xinghong Optoelectronics over years of research and development.
Its revolutionary innovation lies in the 3D dynamic adjustment of ring and core beams, enabling active parameter tuning for diverse materials and flexible adaptation to various welding processes. It boasts four core technical advantages:
1. Adjustable Ring & Core Power with Arbitrary Same-Wavelength Beam Combinations
It supports adjustable power output for both ring and core beams, as well as arbitrary matching of ring and core fibers within the 1030–1080 nm wavelength range. Compatible with various fiber core configurations, the system allows customized setup according to actual processing scenarios.
2. Adjustable Ring-Core Offset and Z-Axis Focal Length
The distance between the annular beam and central spot can be dynamically adjusted, with independent continuous Z-axis focal tuning ranging ±50 mm. It separately controls surface preheating and penetration depth to realize 3D spatial energy compensation and active temperature gradient regulation, enabling customized weld seams with targeted penetration and width.
3. Fixed Annular Beam with Oscillating Central Spot
The annular beam remains stationary while the central spot oscillates, guiding orderly flow of the molten pool. Bubbles escape the keyhole in a timely manner to produce dense, smooth weld seams.
4. Multi-Beam Superposition Function
Multi-channel superposition of single ring, double ring and triple ring beam configurations is available, delivering wider weld width and enhanced molten pool stability.
Conventional laser welding has long suffered from quality defects including severe spatter, frequent porosity, and a trade-off between penetration depth and weld width. The root cause is that the annular and central beams share a fixed focal plane with unchangeable energy distribution. Xinghong Optoelectronics integrates ring-core adjustable functions directly into the welding head with the XH-ABMPR technology, eliminating the need for ring-core tunable lasers. It expands the adjustable parameters of laser welding heads, cuts the overall cost of laser welding systems, and delivers superior welding performance compared with standard welding heads. Actual test data proves that XH-ABMPR stabilizes the molten pool, drastically reduces spatter, and produces uniform, porosity-free welds with outstanding consistency.
